In our previous posts about Magento 2.0 we traveled across Magento 2.0 ver. 1.0.0-beta.
On the 17th of November Magento officially showed the world the Release of Magento 2.0.
We checked the release candidate for differences in Administrator Panel.
Don’t worry: what you learned in our previous articles is still true. But there are new features that were added and a few things that were renamed.
The first thing that I saw after I checked new version is that Find Partners & Extensions section was added at the bottom of the main admin page.
Here I open it and find the list of Magento Platinum Partners. They will be featured above Partner Search and Magento Marketplace.
When we go to System, we can see that some new tabs were added:
Here you can check them:
System -> Permissions -> Locked users
In this section you can see the list of users that were locked. Now it got easier to check who was locked and easier to unlock users if an administrator changes his mind.
System -> Other Settings -> Manage Encryption Key
Here an administrator can set up Key Auto-generation or to set up a single key per each user. It allows to protect user’s sensitive data better.
And this is what was renamed:
|Product Template||Attribute Set|
From now in “Magento 2.0 for Dummies” we’ll be writing about the latest version of Magento 2.0.
