Prestashop Addon Analytics. June

Prestashop extensive cleanup that took place last month inflamed the entire Prestashop community and caused many talks to whirl around this subject.

Right after we have posted our observations on the total number of modules decreased in May in LinkedIn Prestashop English group, Prestashop officials felt forced to get in touch with public and explain the move.

If a developer is unwilling to support his module or fix any issues that may be reported, our team does not believe it is the right thing to do to leave it up for sale on our Addons page. Those developers are welcome to resubmit their work once they have complied with our conditions for listing modules and themes on the Addons store. But until they do so, they will no longer be listed for sale,” – Community Manager at Prestashop Mike Kranzler emphasized.

Furthermore, this topic raised other serious issues like the addon submission process and quality of Prestashop support. It turned out that many developers and customers have complaints about common delay in response and problems with front-office visibility.

Still waiting for these puzzles to be solved, we post the new Prestashop statistics, collected in early June. The amount of modules in all categories was slightly increased. It means that Prestashop team has stopped sanitation measures (at least for now) and got back to its policy of expansion.
