This is the beginning of a new month and it means we come up with an updated July statistics on situation at Prestashop Addons marketplace.
Comparing to May decline and June slight growth, the total amount of modules in early July wasn’t significantly changed, the progress is frozen. Apparently, there is no reason to predict the worst or be afraid of Prestashop unexpected moves. The midsummer is always slow and proves to be ineffective for planning big releases, mainly because Prestashop developers left for vacation and those remained is absolutely demotivated.
While the majority of categories show no changes in quantity, Front office features, Administrative tools, Payment & Gateway, Advertising & Marketing went forward, alluding that several developers are still in the game.
However, there is a tricky question: why did Social Networks modules go down when social services stay on top? Did it happen accidentally or Prestashop team is no more interested in integration with social networking services? We are itching to know your opinion in comments below.
