Big Day Release: Prestashop Home Carousel

Prestashop Home Carousel allows you to draw attention of your potential customers to your products. One of the main design flaws in internet stores, homepage sliders is a tried and effective way to increase sales, not to mention site’s improved usability. The module has several sliders to choose from and add to the homepage: Categories, New and Featured products, Bestsellers and Items on sale. Products are added to the New, Featured and Bestselling sliders automatically. You may select one carousel or many sliders to be displayed at once.

How can you configure and use it?

Log in to the back-office, and we will show you how to configure the module step by step.

Go to Modules -> Carousel Slider -> Configure.

Category images slider displays categories you select. In order to add a category to this slider, go to Catalog -> Categories -> [edit the category]. In the Image field, add the picture. All the categories with pictures will be displayed in this slider, if enabled.

In the Image type drop-down, select the image type that will be displayed in the slider.

In the Featured slider, all the featured products are displayed. In order to make a product featured, edit it in Catalog -> Products. In the Associations tab, select the Home Associated Category.

In the New slider, all the newly added products are displayed.

In the Sale and Bestsellers sliders, products on sale and bestselling items are displayed respectively.

For Categories slider, select categories that you want to be displayed together with their products.

If configured, sliders appear on the homepage.
