This week we have released two Prestashop modules, improving customer experience in your webstore, and Magento extension update.
Prestashop Pre-order and Waiting List enables pre-order and advance pay for unavailable products. Users may also subscribe to the waiting list to be notified when products appear in stock.
Prestashop Help Desk enhances user-admin interaction. Customers will be able to submit tickets, keep track of admin replies and view the history of communication with admin all in one place.

Actually, we are not planning to do it, because standard Magento functionality allows pre-ordering products when they are out of stock. You just need to enable the Backorder option in the admin panel.
