Magento permissions are used to create different levels of access to Admin panel. After your store is first installed, you are given all the access information for the Administrator role and you have full permissions. You can change access level for different people who work on your site. Your developers can be given access to only a part of your admin panel. If you would like to give them limited access to Admin panel, you need to change their permissions. In order to do so, you need to create different roles with different levels of access and then assign roles to your admin users. (more…)
Magento Cart Reminder allows admins to send reminders to customers who abandoned shopping carts. Emails may include cart items, their images, quantity, price, etc. There is an option of offering discounts to encourage customers to complete their purchase.
- Sending reminders to customers who have uncompleted orders
- Configurable email templates
- Discounts rules
- List of abandoned carts
- Possibility to “mute” carts and view reminders statistics
Let’s review these features closely.
In Cart Reminder area, admin enters a number of notifications after which the cart will be automatically “muted”, i.e. it will be excluded from the list of abandoned carts and it will be impossible to send a notification to the email, specified in this cart.
In the Discount area, admin selects if he/she wants the discount coupon to be attached to the notification email.
Admin selects a discount type, enter either discount amount or discount percent, configure coupon pattern following instructions below the field and define discount validity in days.
If you navigate to Promotions -> Cart Reminder, you can roll the cursor over the customer name to view his/her email and registration date. Click the text in Cart Items column to expand the product list.
In Muted Carts tab there is the list of “muted” carts.
Reminders Statistics displays info about emails and customers.
