PrestaShop Theme Development
The way a website looks is very important. Working in ecommerce for almost ten years, Ecofort knows this well. With numerous products in the catalog, the company decided to develop a separate website for handheld vacuum cleaners. What seemed to be quite an ordinary task turned into an exciting challenge to solve. The new-born online store became a sub-domain of the main Ecofort website based on the PrestaShop platform. As Ecofort company had partners all around the globe, the vacuum cleaner website was to be based upon the style of one of their partners who used Magento. Having robust experience in working with both Magento and PrestaShop platforms, BelVG created a PrestaShop template from scratch that was customized according to the unique look of Ecofort partner’s Magento store.
PrestaShop Development
When working on the Ecofort website development, we made the PrestaShop-based online store look like a Magento website. As the two ecommerce platforms are totally different, we had to take into account their underlying logic, page structure and customization opportunities. Capable BelVG developers utilized their deep knowledge of the two platforms to make the PrestaShop store work properly in terms of features and function, irrespective of possible differences with the Magento system. Backend developers worked in tandem with frontend experts to customize website’s pages. Thus, we added an opportunity to integrate hovering images into the catalog page, which is not a default feature in PrestaShop and needed to be specially implemented by our team. We also customized the Product page to provide our client with a bright and minimalistic solution with gently integrated CTA buttons and “about the product” video.
