Beta version of Prestashop 1.7 has been released and I think it might be useful to check the backend of the new version to find out what changed in it. And the best way would be to check main functionality of this store. (more…)
There are default email templates that are predefined in Prestashop. These emails are sent to a customer after (s)he creates an account on the website, subscribes to a newsletter, makes a purchase, in case of payment receiving, confirmation that the order has been shipped and some other cases. And if you want these emails to be unique and bring more information to a customer, then you simply need to modify them. Further, I’m going to show you how to change email templates in Prestashop 1.7.
The first way you can do that is to use admin panel. Just log in and navigate in Improve section to:
International => Translations
Here you will see the Modify Translations block. To edit email templates please select the following positions in drop-down menus:
- Type of translation: Email Translations;
- Select the type of email content: Body (in case you want to edit Email Subject just choose Subject);
- Select your theme: Core (no theme selected);
- Select your language: Choose the required language (in our case it’s English).
And then click Modify button.
So here you will face the email templates. Let’s find out how to edit Registration email for example. Click on Core Emails and select the “account” template.
Now you are able to edit the current template, and if you click on Edit HTML version, the WYSIWYG will appear and you can apply any changes. Also you can View or Edit TXT version of the template by the clicking on the corresponding tab.
And don’t forget to save all changes and test the email to be sure that everything has been performed properly.
The same way you can easily edit any others email templates in this list.
The second way of how you can edit email templates is directly edit templates files. It’s possible to perform using FTP manager. Just navigate to Mails directory and choose the folder with the necessary language. Then you will see all the files with email templates.
